Death toll by Israeli gunfire in Gaza rises to 60

Israeli troops martyred 60 innocent Palestinians along Gaza borders as they rallied against US Embassy opened in Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

The ministry said in a statement more than 2,700 Palestinians were also wounded by Israeli gunfire or tear gas.
 
8 of the martyrs were children under the age of 18. 225 of injured were children and 86 of them were women, the statement said.
 
Palestinians call May 15 as "Nakba", or "Catastrophe" due to the declaration of independence of Israel occupied Palestinian territories on May 14, 1948, and Palestinians were subjected to forced migration that day.
 
Pitching tents along Gaza’s border with Israel, Palestinians are protesting the move of the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and the 70th anniversary of "Nakba" under the name of "The Great March of Return."

US President Donald Trump on Dec. 6, 2017 declared Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and ordered his country's embassy to move to Jerusalem.
